Toni Nadal brakes: ´ Rafael will be at Abu Dhabi. Australian Open? We´ll see…´

Next 26th December Rafael Nadal and Toni will travel towards Abu Dhabi, tournament in which the number 4 of the world, after six months, will officially be back to compete. His first rival, day 28, will be the winner between Andy Murray and Janko Tipsarevic. Right the coach of the Majorcan is the one speaking:” Until today I can’t tell which will be the performance of Rafa in Abu Dhabi. We have restarted to train without forcing, everything’s going well, knees too. Rafa, after six months of inactivity , is far from his best level of shape.”

Toni revealed that “the doctors said to carefully proceed in a first phase. We’ll see first how will it in Abu Dhabi and then in Doha.” The doubts are about the participation of Nadal at the first Slam of the year:” Australian Open is very close, the idea is to go in Melbourne, it’s a tournament present in our schedule. But we have to wait and see what happens. We talk about matches at the best of 5 sets that demand a great physical effort. Another idea would be the one to focus on tournaments on clay, but it’s not easy since the high presence of events on hard courts.”
